Privacy Policy for TennisCity

Last updated: October 10, 2026

TennisCity ("us", "we", or "our") operates the TennisCity mobile application (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

Information Collection And Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Optional SMS Notifications

Tennis City texts you only about things you opt in to: game alerts (when you verify your phone number and turn on text alerts in the app), waitlist notices (when you enter a phone number on a city waitlist form and check the separate SMS box, we text a confirmation and then when another player joins), requests from players waiting for your approval if you organize a game and turn on approval texts, and confirmations when you reply YES or NO to a Tennis City text. We record your phone number and consent choice to send these texts. Consent to SMS is optional and not a condition of using Tennis City. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a Tennis City text to cancel or HELP for support information, or email support@tenniscity.org. We use messaging providers to deliver these texts; we do not sell or share SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing. See our SMS Terms for details.

Crash Diagnostics

When the Tennis City iOS or Android app crashes or hits a serious error, Tennis City uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect a crash log, your device model, operating system and app version, and a pseudonymous user ID (your Firebase account ID, never your name or email address). We use this information only to find and fix bugs. It is processed by Google as our service provider and kept for 90 days. The website does not send crash reports.

Usage Data

We may also collect information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

All videos are stored securely in your personal account. We do not access, view, or share your videos without your explicit consent. You maintain full control over your video content and can delete it at any time.
